The process of composing original music and effects for each book takes time. However, our library is continuously growing.
We select titles based, first and foremost, on literary and artistic merit. One More Story takes pride in offering the best of children's illustrated literature online. Books are also selected in order to offer a library that reflects and fosters the identities of our readers, their gender, their age and their diversity. The One More Story library seeks to provide a diverse array of titles that allows readers space to grow and enjoy new, more challenging and more enjoyable reading experiences over time.
We do have a separate webpage for parents and teachers who wish to view the library in order of difficulty as well as by keyword. Check it out here.
The reason we don't organize the shelves by reading level is because we want to make our library as nonjudgmental of an environment as possible. Reading anxiety is a major problem in developing readers. It's hard to raise your hand to ask a question when your classmates seem like they have it all figured out, and that leads many students' reading progress to stall out.
That's why the books are organized randomly. There's no shelf just for the strongest reader or the weakest reader. Developing readers can take advantage of the varying levels of support that our different reading modes provide to enjoy books that may be above their current reading level, encouraging their sense of curiosity and wonder rather than their anxiety.
One More Story can be accessed on mobile devices through our free app or in the browser of most devices released in the last few years. If you use the browser-based app, we recommend the most recent versions of Chrome, Safari or Amazon's Silk browser.
We have a native app for iPad and iPhone. Computer, Android and Kindle Fire users can access all features and books through their web browsers.
The native apps have the advantage of more screen real estate, orientation lock (so the screen stays in landscape mode), and better sound controls.
The advantages of the web app are quicker updates, no installation, and the ability for schools to login with a simple link rather than a username and password.
About the iOS version:
The iOS version of our app requires a minimum of iOS 10.

Most account types allow only one device to access the library at once. If you, for example, have a home subscription, and one of your children is using One More Story on a tablet, and the other logs into the website, he or she will receive this error.
If you receive this error, and you aren't logged in twice, contact us or just wait 20 minutes. Library locks reset every 20 minutes.
If you're sure you're using the correct username and password, this may be an IP address issue. Libraries, hospitals, and some school accounts are limited to being used at school only, and the way we verify whether a user is at school is with his or her device's IP address. Contact us and we can update your IP address and restore your access.
