IN A NUTSHELL: A baby bat raised by birds is reunited with her bat family.

SUMMARY: When Stellaluna is separated from her Mother, she seeks shelter in a bird's nest where she is taught to behave like the birds around her. Mother Bird wants Stellaluna to eat bugs and to sleep at night. However, when Stellaluna is reunited with her mother, she comes to discover that she is a bat by nature. Stellaluna learns to act like a bat, but maintains the friendships she formed with her bird family.
